What is it? jfLinux is a new Java infused Linux Operating System where most of the apps are written in Java. It's more than just a desktop environment. There are apps for everything from the installer, the dock, to the media player. Check out the apps page for a complete list. Active status? Currently jfLinux is on hold/inactive. Which distribution is it based on? It is based on Ubuntu and Fedora, although currently only the Ubuntu image is working. Development status? Currently jfLinux is in the alpha stage. Please DO NOT install on systems with important data. Minimal testing has been done on the installer and may cause data loss. I recommend only installing in virtual environments for now.
